Residential Structure Fire with flames isolated to kitchen area, heavy smoke spread throughout structure
Single Family Residence
Upon arrival of HFD units, light smoke noted coming from windows of structure & owner on scene stating there was a fire in the kitchen area from one of the light fixtures. Located kitchen and noted 3-4 ft tall flames coming from floor and isolated to that area and smoke rapidly getting thicker.
Fire fighters made rapid entry with a fire extiguisher and an attack hoseline was deployed in case of need. Fire was extiguished using 20lb extiguisher. Windows and doors opened and fan utilized for ventilation to clear out smoke. Utilized thermal imaging camera with no further signs of heat or flames. Also investigated in crawl space and found no signs there. Fire cause under investigation. All units released from scene.
