Fire cause by open flame used for lighting
Upon arrival found single family home fully engulfed by flames. Single occupant escaped fire with injuries. Co8 personnel treated and transported occupant; assumed defensive posture to fight fire and prevent spread to other homes and structures.
Company 8 arrived on scene and initiated exposure protection once it was determined that all occupants had been evacuated. Upon arrival of Company 17, Company 9, and volunteer Company 8A, all units able to further develop containment measures; perform extinguishment and overhaul. American Red Cross notified occupant will need assistance
$250,000.00 loss of total residential structure
