Bay Clinic Announces Marcia “Marcie” Saquing as new Chief Operating Officer
Hilo, HAWAI’I, February 1, 2021- Bay Clinic is pleased to announce the hiring of Marcia “Marcie” Saquing as Chief Operating Officer with Bay Clinic. Saquing comes to Bay Clinic from Hawaii Island Adult Care (HIAC), where she served as Executive Director for four years.
This move represents an extension of Bay Clinic’s promise to be community driven as Ms. Saquing has a strong reputation of mobilizing community partners to serve the most vulnerable. “In her new role, Marcie will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and execution of our strategic plan. I look forward to working with Marcie to drive Bay Clinic forward in executing our vision to empower our communities to be healthy and happy” said Dr. C. Kimo Alameda, Bay Clinic CEO.
Prior to this appointment, Saquing was responsible for leading the overall strategy and execution for Hawaii Island Adult Day Care (HIAC) operations, philanthropic, and marketing strategies. Her team successfully secured funding for HIAC programs, contracts with the public sector, fundraising and she has often been recognized for her outstanding leadership.

Marcie has been an integral part of the HIAC team for many years, contributing greatly to the company’s success. Her skills and experience are the perfect fit to take on this position as we move forward,” said Alameda.
Saquing received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the College of Idaho and a master’s degree in Education from Central Michigan. Marcie has over twenty years of experience working in education and non-profit sectors in Hawaii. She is committed to her community, having served on several non-profit boards within East Hawaii. Marcie is a member of several service clubs, including the Rotary of South Hilo, and the Hawaii Island and Japanese Chambers of Commerce.
Bay Clinic provides services at ten different locations in East Hawaii from Hilo to Ka’ū. Bay Clinic is the only health entity on the island that also offers Dental, Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Pharmaceutical, Pediatric, Tobacco Cessation, Diabetes Prevention, and the WIC Program. They serve over 21,000 patients with approximately 70,000 patient visits a year, and employ over 190 employees.
