Kalapana Gardens, Piilani Rd Overdue Hiker Report

HFD and HPD responded for a missing Person in the area of Piilani road in Kalapana Gardens. Upon arrival, HFD and HPD units began to investigate and search the area. At approximately 2010 the patient was found by HPD walking in a lava field. She told HPD she was confused and not sure what had happened. Medic 10 assessed the patient and provided necessary care. Patient was transported to Hilo hospital for further evaluation. All units cleared the scene with no further incident.
