This is a COVID-19 informational update for Sunday, September 5th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 100 new cases and 1756 active cases with 66 persons hospitalized.
Wide-spread community and travel related transmission of the Coronavirus is affecting our island and straining our medical resources to critical levels which affects everyone’s access to medical care. We must stop the spread of this virus. We all need to kokua and make an individual effort to limit activity to essential needs only. Stay home where possible. Always wear face masks, maintain physical distance, wash hands often, and avoiding social gatherings.
For today, Sunday, there are no community clinics.
The next community clinics will be tomorrow, Monday at the following sites;
For testing; in North Kohala at the Hisaoka Gym in Kapaau from 8 ‘til 10 in the morning and Waimea District Park from 2 ‘til 4 in the afternoon.
For testing and vaccination; in South Kohala at the Kamakoa Nui Park in Waikoloa Village from 8 in the morning ‘til 12 noon.
