Hawaii Fire Department reports poor visibility between Waimea, Waikoloa Village, and Daniel K. Inouye Highway in South Kohala District due to dusty and windy conditions.
Sustained winds of up to 30 MPH and gusts of 50 MPH are forecast through Sunday.
Know that winds are prone to accelerate on downslope areas of Hawaii Island.
Due to the dusty and windy conditions in South Kohala District;
- Motorist in the area could experience poor visible and windy driving conditions.
- Motorist in the area, especially in high profile vehicles, please be attentive and drive with caution.
