Quarter acre residential lot with 2-story structure.
On arrival found a 2-story residential structure with 1st floor 20-30% involved with fire. HPD also on scene (1 officer) with the resident. Initial fire attack was defensive from exterior with effective fire knock down. Fire was extinguished and smoke removed from structure. Searched for fire extension upstairs and downstairs with negative findings. Overhaul completed. HELCO disconnected power to residence. Scene secured and turned over to Fire inspectors for investigation. All units returned to quarters.
STRUCTURE FIRE: 2 story residential structure with first story approximately 20-30% involved in fire. Single resident self evacuated PTA. No rescue was needed and no other exposures affected by fire. HPD officer on scene.
Cause: Under investigation scene was turned over to Fire Inspectors.
