The Hawaii Fire Department reports a wildland fire in Hamakua and has issued a Wildfire Warning between the 36 and 39 Mile Markers of Highway 19.
If you are in this area: TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION! EVACUATE NOW!
Due to the wildland fire, be advised:
- The following road is closed: Highway 19 between the 36 and 39 Mile Markers.
- Please expect traffic delays. Avoid the area when possible
- The following evacuation shelter is open:
