A 12-year-old boy recovering from brain surgery had his dream come true when he received get-well-soon messages from his favorite comic book hero.
The messages reached Anthony after his uncle, Ryan, reached out to Marvel and DC Comics on Twitter.

Ryan Reynolds was the first actor to respond to the tweet.

Following Reynolds’ reply, actors and comic book artists began replying to the original tweet with superhero-inspired cartoons and messages, wishing Anthony a speedy recovery.

“It’s honestly unbelievable how far this has gone,” Ryan said. “All of you brought countless smiles to his face. He’s been reading the replies and just been filled with happiness. I can’t even express to everyone how grateful I am that all of you came together for him! Thank you so much!”
