This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday morning, April 30th.

On today’s report of COVID-19, the total number of people who tested positive for Hawaii Island is 72.  From this, 53 have been cleared as recovered with the remaining 19 quarantined at home and monitored by the Department of Health.  At this date, no one is hospitalized.

For your information, drive through testing will be conducted today in Kona at the Keauhou Shopping Center.  Hours are from 8 this morning till 12 noon. Thank you, Ali’i Health Center, Hawaii National Guard, and County Task Force for conducting this free service.  Testing will be conducted in Honoka’a tomorrow, at the Honoka’a Sports Complex.

Know that all the policies of distancing, gatherings, face coverings, cleanliness, and personal health remains in effect.  Your help is needed to keep Hawaii safe.  This Island and State is doing well in minimizing the spread and impact of the coronavirus.  It is so important to ramp up all the preventive measures so we can get better and keep Hawaii safe.
