COVID-19 information update for Monday morning, May 25, “Memorial Day”.
On today’s report of COVID-19, the total number of people tested positive for Hawaii Island is 81, from this 79 have been cleared as recovered with the remaining 2 quarantined and monitored by the Department of Health. At this date no one is hospitalized.
It was announced by Hawaii County that medium risk businesses such as salons, restaurants, barber shops and places of worship may begin reopening June 1st. The individual opening dates will be dependent on their readiness to meet the requirements of safety. If assistance is needed in meeting the requirements please call the Hawaii County’s Task Force at 935-0031.
