Reported missing free diver off shore Makukona Beach Park:
First arriving Company from North Kohala initiated shoreline ground search, Subsequent arriving units: C-2, C-1, and Ocean safety Jet Ski initiated shoreline and ocean search. Rescue Boat 7 initiated dive operations USCG Dolphin helicopter arrived on scene initiating off shore ocean search, USCG fixed wing C-130 arrived on scene to support and assist with search and rescue operations.
HFD operations suspended around sunset. Units will return at first light to resume operations. USCG Dolphin helicopter to continue night operations, USCG Cutter Oliber Berry dispatched to area to support and assist search and rescue.
