…STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS THROUGH THIS EVENING…

.Strong high pressure to our north will produce strong and gusty
winds across portions of the state through this evening.

…WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST THIS EVENING…

* WHAT…Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with localized gusts over
50 mph expected.

* WHERE…Portions of Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maui and the Big Island of
Hawaii.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM HST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Winds this strong are capable of downing trees and
causing power outages.
Instructions: Motorists should use extra caution, especially for high profile vehicles.

High Surf Advisory
Alert:
…HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EAST FACING SHORES OF KAUAI OAHU
MOLOKAI MAUI AND THE BIG ISLAND…

…HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST FRIDAY…

* WHAT…Surf along east facing shores will be 7 to 10 feet.

* WHERE…East facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and
the Big Island.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM HST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Moderate. Expect strong breaking waves, shore break,
and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming
difficult and dangerous.
Instructions: Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution. Know your limits and seek ocean recreation areas best suited for your abilities. If in doubt, don`t go out.
