Post and pier single family dwelling, with main living area fully involved in fire. HPD on scene providing traffic control. Exposure on north side of structure.
HFD units, as well as HPD were dispatched to a structure fire. Upon arrival found this post and pier, permitted unoccupied residential structure with the main living area fully involved with heavy fire conditions. Initial scene size up was conducted with a neighboring home noted on the north side of structure. According to police dispatch the occupancy was an abandoned structure, but still had live HELCO electrical feed to structure. HELCO was dispatched to disconnect pole connection. The fire was extinguished and overhauled without injury. The scene was left in the care of HPD and HFD Fire Inspector.
