Roadblock on Ali’i Highway
On said date and time, said units assigned to 2 male swimmers in distress at Lekeleke Bay aka End of the World. Upon arrival, one swimmer made it to shore safely with minor injuries which required no EMS attention. The other swimmer was still in the ocean, face down, and unresponsive. 2 Fire Rescue Specialists (FRS) from Kailua Fire Station entered the ocean and secured the body from going under. Chopper 2 was used to extract the FRS and the unidentifed male body, approximately 30-40 years old, to an awaiting ambulance. No other injuries reported.
