Kamehameha Schools, in partnership with the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement and The Kohala Center, is pleased to announce the launch of Mahi‘ai Scale-up, an agricultural business plan competition to help established local farms and food system businesses scale their operations. Mahi‘ai Scale-up is a component of Kamehameha Schools’ Mahi‘ai a Ola program, which seeks to improve Hawai‘i’s food resiliency and security.
Mahi‘ai Scale-up provides:
- Business training through KūHana, a ten-week program offering evening courses to help develop and strengthen your business plan;
- Technical assistance and wraparound services including logo and website development, tax planning, and more to support your operations;
- More than 50K in cash prizes for winning business plans and presentations.
All Hawai‘i-based food-system-related businesses are encouraged to apply now through February 12, 2021. |
