Pi’ihonua Hiker with Possible Hip Fracture Report

7 HFD apparatus; 12 HFD personnel
Upon arrival found 30’s male on side enbankment of river with possible hip fracture.
Hiking near the river; slipped & fell
Chopper 1 dropped two Fire Rescue Specialist off near pt. Chopper 1 with the use of long line and litter recovered hiker and HFD personnel. All parties safely extricated to landing zone. Pt transported by ambulance to Hilo Medical Center ER in stable condition.
