Moa’ula Farm Area Structure Fire

8 HFD apparatus; 12 HFD personnel

Approximately 1400 square foot agriculture storage building fully involved with fire.  No occupants or exposures involved.  Structure with partial roof collapse in rear of building.

HFD units from Pahala, Na’alehu, and Volcano along with Volunteer Units from Discovery Harbour responded to structure fire within farm acreage in the Moa’ula Farm Area.  Structure accessed using smaller type vehicles with 1/4 mile of off road distance.  Fire extinguished and overhauled with hoselines from Brush Truck 11 and Tanker 11.  Due to lack of water resources, a water shuttle operation utilized with water provided from volunteer units and Engine 19.

900 square foot metal frame agriculture garage type building with metal roofing walls and a 500 square foot wood frame kitchen area attached.
