Update…8:25pm brush fire

This is a Brush Fire update for Sunday, August 1.
Hawaii Fire Department reports the threat from the Mana Road Fire has stabilized and the Evacuation Order has been removed for Waikoloa Village and Pu`u Kapu Hawaiian Homesteads. Residents may return and need to remain alert for poor air quality or changes to the fire situation.
The threat of fire to Waikii Ranch has also stabilized though roads are currently closed and the area isolated stopping residents from returning.
Road closures continue for the following areas; Highway 190 from Waimea Airport to the DKI Intersection, the Old Saddle Road and Waikoloa Road from Paniolo Drive to Highway 190.
Evacuation shelters at the Old Kona Airport in Kailua Kona and Waimea District Park will remain open. American Red Cross and County officials are at these locations to assist.
Fire crews will work through the night to reduce the threat.
