This is a Civil Defense Tsunami Information message for Wednesday, August 11 at 8 in the morning.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) reports an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 has occurred at approximately 7:26 AM HST in the vicinity of Mindanao, Philippines.
PTWC confirms there is NO TSUNAMI THREAT to the Island and State of Hawaii. I say again, there is NO TSUNAMI THREAT to the Island and State of Hawaii.
