Daniel K. Inouye Highway was closed 2 days ago between the Old Saddle Road junction and the Highway 190 junction due to a brush fire that consumed over 320 acres between the 45 and 49 Mile Markers.
Police and State Highways plan to reopen Daniel K. Inouye Highway to traffic at 1:30 PM today.
Again, Daniel K. Inouye Highway will be reopened at 1:30 this afternoon.
Motorists in the area of the 45 and the 49 Mile Markers, drive with caution as Police and State Highways personnel may have close the outer eastbound lane to allow firefighting equipment to be loaded and transported out of the area.
As heavy equipment may be in the process of being loaded and transported, motorists are to reduce your speed, be attentive of traffic conditions, Police and State Highways personnel, and traffic signage.
