This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, September 9th.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 52 new cases and 1,576 active cases, with 54 persons hospitalized.
Coronavirus transmission is in communities island-wide. Your help is needed to slow the spread. Please continue to follow the preventive measures of wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, limiting gatherings, and keeping activity to essential only. Please take this time to get vaccinated.
Testing is scheduled for today at Pahala Community Center from Noon to 2 PM.
Community Vaccination and Testing Clinics are scheduled today in Hilo at, Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 11 AM to 4 PM, at Panaewa Park from 2 PM to 6 PM, and in Kona at the Kona Aquatics Center from 10 AM to 2 PM.
