This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, October 14th.
For Hawaii County, Department of Health reports 46 new cases and 539 active cases, with 14 persons hospitalized.
Mahalo for your efforts in helping control the spread of Coronavirus on Hawaii Island. Know that community spread continues and only through your efforts of following the preventive measures and getting vaccinated will the cases continue the downward trend.
Community Testing is available today, Thursday, at the following locations; in Hilo at the Afook Chinen Civic from 9 this morning ’til 2 this afternoon and vaccinations from 11 this morning ‘til 4 this afternoon. For vaccination and testing at the Maku`u Farmers Market from 2 ‘til 6 this afternoon and vaccinations at Kona Aquatics Center from 9 this morning ‘til 2 in the afternoon.
Community Testing will be offered Friday in North Kona at the Old Airport Pavilion from 1 ‘til 5 in the afternoon.
