COUNTY SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON DRAFT CDBG-MIT ACTION PLAN
Virtual Public Meeting Scheduled for Nov. 16
The County of Hawai‘i will host a virtual public meeting via Zoom from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Nov. 16 on its draft Action Plan addressing the use of $6.862 million in U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation
(CDBG-MIT) funds.

Include in the subject line “Register to Testify”.
To comply with HUD requirements, the draft Action Plan describes the County’s strategy for
utilizing limited CDBG-MIT funds to implement strategic hazard mitigation activities. Funds
will be used to implement projects identified in the County’s 2020 Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The County released the draft plan for public comment on Oct. 25 and will accept public
comment through Dec. 8.
