The Hawaii Police Department reports that Kawaihae Road from Waiula Street (near the 63 mile marker) to Queen Kaahumanu Highway is closed due to downed utility poles following a traffic crash. The proper utilities have been summoned but their estimated time of arrival on scene has not been determined. At this time, it is not known how long this closure will last. First Responders are on-scene; please watch out for them. Please drive safely.
