This is a High Surf Warning message for Friday, February 25th.
National Weather Service High Surf Warning remains in effect for west facing shores of Hawaii Island from Upolu Point in North Kohala to South Kona through Saturday.
Surf is expected to continue to be 8 to 12 feet.
A High Surf Warning means large breaking surf, significant shore-break, and dangerous currents make entering the water very hazardous.
Due to the High Surf Warning, the following continue to be in effect;
Beach-goers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
Beaches may close without notice.
Owners of coastal property on west facing shores could experience impact due to high surf.
Large waves and strong currents may impact harbor entrances.
