INPUT NEEDED FOR THE FUTURE OF HAWAI‘I TOURISM

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Friday, April 8, 2022

Aloha!

We have extended the deadline to take our survey as we are in need of more participants to achieve a representative sample from your island.

Please submit your feedback to the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA), which is conducting an important assessment of Hawai‘i’s strength as a visitor destination in alignment with our community’s needs. This survey is being done to gauge and better inform our collective efforts in Mālama Ku‘u Home (caring for my beloved home) through HTA’s 2020-2025 Strategic Plan and Destination Management Action Plans (DMAPs).

Your input in this process is extremely valuable as we are reaching out broadly to receive feedback from a diverse range of individuals throughout the islands, encompassing community, tourism, business, government, culture, agriculture, education, and other related sectors. The last time a version of this survey was conducted for Hawai‘i was in 2019 and the research was instrumental to the development of our Strategic Plan and DMAPs.

The survey is open to everyone in Hawai‘i and we ask that you share it with your colleagues, family members, and friends.

In order to develop the most accurate picture, it is important that you answer the questions as you see your island today. Our hope is that the findings of this benchmark survey will continue to spark a thoughtful, productive conversation centered around our community’s needs and further guide our holistic approach to regenerative tourism for all of Hawai‘i.

To access the survey, please click on the link below. It will be available for your participation until Friday, April 8, 2022. All responses will remain anonymous.
