Official Report…Kono street, Pahoa, Structure Fire

Cause is undetermined at this time
HFD and HPD were dispatched to a structure fire on
Kono street off of Pahoa Village Road. Upon arrival
found a medium sized plantation era single family
post and pier wood structure, fully engulfed.
HFD and HPD responded for a structure fire. Co-10 arrived on scene to find a medium
sized plantation era single family post and pier wooden structure fully engulfed.
Extinguishing operations were initiated by Co-10. No occupants or bystanders in the
area. There was no electrical services to this structure. HPD remained on scene for
help create a safe scene during fire extinguishment operations. Fire was extinguished
and overhauled with no occupants found in structure. Scene was turned over to HPD
and all HFD units returned to quarters.
