This is a Wind Advisory and High Wind Watch message for Monday, March 6th at 4:30 in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Summits of Hawaii Island through Tuesday morning.
The National Service High Wind Watch for the Summits of Hawaii Island will be in effect from Tuesday morning through Friday.
A High Wind Watch for the summits means sustained winds of 40 to 80 MPH with gusts of over 100 MPH are expected for areas over 8,000 feet.
Due to the High Wind Watch for the summits, please take the following precautions;
• Motorist avoid driving summit roads.
• Summit roads and access may be closed without notice.
