The County of Hawai‘i, Department of Environmental Management is preparing a Regional Wastewater Master Plan for Puakō and other communities within the South Kohala District. The County is seeking public input on the items you feel should be evaluated in the Regional Wastewater Master Plan. The Project Definition Report (PDR) has been completed and is the initial scoping document that provides definition of the extent of wastewater service opportunities in the Project Area, including development possibilities, options, alternatives, and potential for wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure. The PDR summarizes the development and data review performed to fully define the Project Area and is used as the basis for the Regional Wastewater Master Plan.

The PDR document is on StoryMap and your comments are requested utilizing SmartComment. Letter comments can be sent to the County at the address in the attached flyer.
