Official Report: Hiker Rescued…Illegal hiking trail off White Road – Koiawe, Waimea

7 HFD apparatus, 18 HFD personnel
After multiple attemps, due to inclement weather, C2 able to locate party and pass on location to C1. C1 able to put rescue man on the ground with patient, attend to patients injuries, and package patient for transport via longline and litter basket. Patient brought out of ravine and transferred to C2, aero-medical unit, and transported to NHCH in critical condition. Three others in hiking party without injuries, hiked back out to entrance of illegal hiking trail at White Road to meet with DLNR.
18 year old male fell down 80ft cliffside with multiple injuries.. Attended to by another person in hiking party.
