Aloha kākou,

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority continues to collaborate with federal, state and county officials, community stakeholders, and visitor industry partners, to support and strengthen our communities in need.

We have expanded our website with a new section on Maui recovery efforts, including official resources that are available for visitors, businesses, employees, and community members.

Please note the new URL: www.hawaiitourismauthority.org/maui-recovery

From people and businesses that rely on tourism to drive Maui’s economy, the call is clear: Maui needs the support of visitors now more than ever.

We encourage visitor industry partners and businesses to utilize HTA’s Mālama Maui toolkit. The toolkit is being updated continually with downloadable assets that can be shared broadly as we work collectively to welcome travelers back to Maui in a meaningful way. The toolkit includes the following:

• Video from Hawai‘i State Governor Josh Green, M.D., emphasizing that Maui and the other Hawaiian Islands are open and welcoming visitors

• Letter from Hawai‘i Tourism Authority Chief Administrative Officer Daniel Nāho‘opi‘i on how visitors can mālama Maui

• Map and high-resolution photos of areas that are welcoming visitors

HTA and our Global Marketing Team is deploying these resources locally, nationally and globally to visitors, travel advisors, wholesalers, meeting planners, media, community partners, and industry stakeholders. Mahalo for your continued support and kōkua in sharing this information widely.

Mālama pono,

Hawai‘i Tourism Authority
