Crowds arriving in droves, including Mayor Bissen, for Lahainaluna football debut
The town of Wailuku was abuzz Saturday as Lahaina residents arrived in droves to support the Lahainaluna football team for its first game of the season against Baldwin at War Memorial Stadium.
The stands were packed with about 5,000 people for the afternoon junior varsity game well before the Maui Interscholastic League defending champion Lunas were to take the field for the 7 p.m. varsity contest.
