Single story house with lean-to attachment and garage area
Upon arrival at Nohea street in Hilo, found unoccupied single story dwelling with heavy smoke throughout the house and smoke billowing through windows. Active burning in one bedroom and exterior garage wit large propane tank violently releasing pressure. Forced entry through front door. Used (2) 1 3/4″ attack lines, (1) 2 1/2″ attack line to extinguish fire. Most fire damage contained to that one bedroom involved and moderate smoke damage throughout the dwelling. Responding units completed overhaul and scene turned over to Fire Inspector and HPD for further evaluation.
Single story dwelling heavy smoke throughout the house. Exterior garage and lean-to attachment with heavy working fire and large propane tank violently releasing pressure.
