Middles Igiede, Evans lead Hawaii women’s volleyball to sweep at CSUN
Hawaii took care of business against an inferior opponent on the road on Friday night. Big West leader UC Santa Barbara could not, meaning the regular-season conference race just got more interesting.
UH’s middles, Amber Igiede and Kennedi Evans, loomed large in a 25-17, 25-19, 25-12 sweep of Cal State Northridge at Premier America Credit Union Arena in Northridge, Calif. The two combined for 20 kills against just one error to help make it a quick night. Igiede hit a season-high .769 and Evans hit a career-best .600.
