…HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EXPOSED WEST FACING SHORES OF MAUI AND
THE BIG ISLAND…

.The large north (010-020 deg) swell has peaked and will slowly
subside through the day today. A new large northwest swell (320)
will fill in late tonight and Sunday.

…HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST THIS
EVENING…

* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 14 to 18 feet for north facing
shores, 10 to 14 feet for east facing shores, 8 to 12 feet for
West Maui, and 6 to 8 feet for northerly exposures of
leeward Big Island north of Keahole Point.

* WHERE…Portions of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Niihau, Oahu and the
Big Island.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM HST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
will make swimming dangerous.
Instructions: Head all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don`t go out.
