REAL ID Requirements Start May 7
The County of Hawaiʻi is reminding the public of upcoming federally mandated identification requirements.
Starting May 7, residents using a driver’s license or state identification card to board a domestic flight or access certain federal facilities will need to ensure that their credentials are REAL ID compliant.
To be compliant, licenses and state identification cards will need to be marked with a white star in a gold circle. The symbol indicates full compliance with Department of Homeland Security guidelines.
