Hawaiʻi County Sponsoring Free Easter Events
The County of Hawai‘i and community partners will host free Easter events in Hilo, Kea‘au and Pāhala with egg hunts, games and more.
The first event is Sunday, April 13 at Herbert Shipman Park in Kea‘au, with the events in Hilo and Pāhala taking place Friday, April 18. See details about each of the events below.
Kea‘au Family Fun Day
• Date: Sunday, April 13
• Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Location: Herbert Shipman Park, Kea‘au
• Activities: Egg hunt, inclusive egg hunt, waterslides, bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, live music, and picture taking with the Easter Bunny.

Easter Extravaganza
• Date: Friday, April 18
• Time: Gates open at 9 a.m.
• Location: Dr. Francis F.C. Wong Stadium, Hilo
• Activities: Egg hunt, jumping castle, lawn games, face painting, snacks, food vendors, keiki ID.
• Additional Information: The egg hunt is for keiki ages 5-12. Egg hunt times are: 11 a.m. (ages 5-6), 11:30 a.m. (ages 7-9), and 12 p.m. (ages 10-12). No baskets are needed as bags will be provided. Parents and guardians are not allowed on the field.
Easter Family Fun Day
• Date: Friday, April 18
• Time: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Location: Pāhala Community Center
• Activities: Egg hunts, prizes, refreshments (while supplies last), entertainment, information booths.
