Hawaiʻi Island — In Hawaiʻi, natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, and volcanic activity are a reality. Being prepared isn’t just a good idea — it’s something we all need to take seriously.
To support that effort, Vibrant Hawaiʻi, in partnership with Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense, is offering a free webinar series focused on disaster preparedness. The series is open to everyone and is designed to help individuals and families understand how to prepare for emergencies in a way that meets their specific needs.
Each session is one hour long and features local experts and community leaders sharing practical tips, planning tools, and insights that participants can use right away. Whether you’re caring for young children, people with disabilities, or animals, these workshops will help you feel more confident and ready.
Workshop Schedule:
- June 17 – General Disaster Preparedness
- June 24 – Preparedness for Children
- July 1 – Preparedness for Pets and Animals
- July 8 – Preparedness for People with Disabilities
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM HST
Location: Online (Zoom)
All sessions are free and open to the public. Participants will also receive downloadable resources and have the opportunity to ask questions directly to experts in the field.
