The East Bridgewater Police Department in Massachusetts is getting well-deserved praise after a heartwarming and humorous display of community engagement.

Recently, officers visited Cadence Academy to teach young children about bike and summer safety. Detective Cacciatore, School Resource Officer Connor with K9 Morgan, Officer Cory McLaughlin, and Admin Micele all took part in the effort.
But it was Officer McLaughlin who stole the show—and hearts—by donning a unicorn-themed helmet and riding a small pink bike to make the lesson extra fun and memorable for the kids.

And that wasn’t even his first act of kindness that day.
Before arriving at the event, Officer McLaughlin pulled over to help a stranded driver change a flat tire.
“I love when I get a phone call from someone praising one of my officers,” said Police Chief Jenkins. “This wasn’t the first time Officer McLaughlin has stopped to help someone in need.”

After lending a hand on the roadside, McLaughlin made it just in time to teach the kids about safety—unicorn helmet and all.
The department shared photos of the event on Facebook, commending all involved for their dedication to the community.
