Faith “Faye” “Tutu” “Darling” Wynne Lolouwila (Jones) Yates 80, of Kohala died April 22. Born in Kohala, she was a licensed practical nurse, real estate administrative assistant, president of Kohala Seniors, advocate for the community, Hawaiian people and Hawaiian culture and a devout Christian who loved the Lord. Visitation 9-10 a.m. on her birthday, Saturday, Sept. 13, at Kohala Gospel of Salvation Church, 55-146 Kokoiki Rd. in Hawi. Services 10-11 a.m. with fellowship and luncheon to follow at 11 a.m. Survived by husband, John P. Yates Jr.; daughter, Johnelle (Yates) Chon and son-in-law, Song Chon; son, Leroy K. Lopez; brothers, Oren Duarte, Marvin (Julia) Duarte and Gordon Duarte; sister, Bernadette (Duarte) Encinas; daughter-in-law, Tammy (Keana‘aina) Jones; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
