Wildland fire in South Kohala and has issued a Wildfire Advisory for the Kawaihae.

The Hawaii Fire Department reports a wildland fire in South Kohala and has issued a Wildfire Advisory for the Kawaihae.

Due to the wildland fire, be advised:

• The following roads are closed: Kawaihae Road from Queen Kaahumanu intersection to Waiaka Bridge in Waimea
• The following roads are open  Akoni Pule and Waikoloa Road
• Please expect traffic delays. Avoid the area when possible
• No communities are threatened.
