Water Distribution Begins at 3 PM Today Across Hawaiʻi Island

HAWAIʻI ISLAND — August 17, 2026 — Water distribution will begin at 3:00 PM today, Monday, August 17, at locations across Hawaiʻi Island for residents impacted by Hurricane Lala.

Water will be available while supplies last at the following Points of Distribution (PODs):

  • Keaʻau — HPP Community Association
    15-1570 Makuʻu Dr., Keaʻau

  • Pāhoa — Billy Kenoi Park, Softball Concessions

  • Kurtistown — Hawaiian Acres
    16-1325 Moho Rd. Kurtistown

  • Mountain View — Fern Acres
    11-3606 Lehua St. Mountain View

  • Mountain View — Fern Forest
    11-2864 Ala Kapena Dr. Mountain View

  • Volcano — Cooper Center
    19-4030 Wright Rd. Volcano

  • Pāhala — Pāhala Community Center
    96 Kamani St. #1149 Pāhala

  • Nāʻālehu — Nāʻālehu Hongwanji
    95-5695 Hawaiʻi Belt Rd. Nāʻālehu

  • Ocean View — Hope-Diamond Ministries
    92-8988 Ginger Blossom Ln. Ocean View

Community members are asked to share this information with ʻohana, friends, neighbors, and anyone who may need access to water.

This effort is being coordinated with support from the Vibrant Hawaiʻi Resilience Hubs, County of Hawaiʻi, KTA Super Stores, The Food Basket, The Salvation Army, HAKA, HPM Hawaiʻi, Conens Trucking, Meadow Gold Dairy, Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, World Central Kitchen, Ed Olson Trust, Hāmākua Macadamia Nut Co., and other community partners.
