Akoni Pule (270) Construction Next Week
As many of you have probably seen, there are highway construction signs on Akoni Pule Highway (270) between Hawi & Kawaihae. This is the reason:
The work beginning on Oct. 22 on Akoni Pule (Highway 270) will be permitted work to install a driveway at mile marker 10.6. The permit allows for a single lane closure (although this may not be needed) 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The permit application anticipates a two-week duration for the work.
