Thieves Break Into State Base Yard Steal Truck and Tools

Hawaii Island Police are investigating a break in that occurred at the State base yard in Hilo overnight.
Taken in the break-in was a 2018 Ford Truck, white in color with a black lift gate. The license plate is SH H626, and both doors have the Hawaii state seal on them. Pictured is a similar truck.
Investigators are still trying to determine what type of tools were removed from the base yard.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the police non-emergency number at 935-3311, tips via Nixle, or CrimeStoppers at 961-8300. Tipsters using CrimeStoppers can remain anonymous.
