Official Report….400 Kinoole St. Mattress Fire, Hilo

3 story apartment complex.
On arrival at the Lincoln Courtside apartments there was a third story
unit filled with smoke. Firefighters located a smoldering mattress and
box spring in the tenant’s bedroom. Mattress and box spring were
removed from unit and the fire extinguished. The unit was ventilated of
smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
