This is a Severe Weather Update for Thursday, March 2nd at 6:00 am.
The Flood Advisory for North & South Kohala, Hamakua, North & South Hilo, and Puna has been extended through this morning. Pauahi St. is closed and Kamehameha Ave has restricted traffic flow; morning traffic into Hilo from Hamakua should take Kilauea Ave.
Please drive with caution as additional road closures may occur at any time without warning.
The High Wind Warning for North and South Kohala remains in effect through this evening.
The High Wind Advisory for the Hamakua and Kau Districts has been extended through this evening.
The Winter Storm Warning for Hawaii Island summits remains in effect through this evening.
The High Surf Warning for east facing shores of Hawaii Island from Upolu Point in North Kohala through Cape Kumukahi in Puna to South Pont in Kau remains in effect through Thursday evening.
