This a High Surf Advisory update for Friday, December 29th.
The National Weather Service has extended the High Surf Advisory for north facing shores of Hawaii Island from Upolu Point in North Kohala to Cape Kumukahi in Puna through Saturday evening.
Beach-goers, swimmers, and surfers please heed all advice given by ocean safety officials.
As conditions remain elevated, beaches may close without notice.
