Alert: Wind Advisory issued March 4 at 2:58AM HST until March 5 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI

* WHAT…East to northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
mph.

* WHERE…Portions of Molokai, Lanai, Maui, Kahoolawe, and the Big
Island. Winds will be strongest over and downwind of the mountains
and where winds are funneled and channeled around and between the
terrain.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM HST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Winds this strong can tear off shingles, knock down tree
branches, blow away tents and awnings and make it difficult to
steer, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.

Instructions:
Watch out for falling tree branches when walking or driving. Make
sure tents and awnings are secure or take them down. Be prepared for
power outages.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and other loose outdoor objects
that can be easily blown around by strong winds.
