Hawaiʻi County Announces 2025 Summer Fun Programs
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks & Recreation announces its 2025 Summer Fun programs, which provide recreational opportunities for youth at locations island-wide during summer break.
During Summer Fun, keiki enjoy arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, sports, music, dance, special events, and excursions. All Summer Fun Programs will be in operation from June 9 and July 18, with two specialized enrichment programs offering shorter sessions within that timeframe.
“Summer Fun is a great opportunity for our keiki to stay active, develop new interests, and build connections with their peers during the school break,” said Mayor Kimo Alameda. “I want to thank our Department of Parks and Recreation staff for offering these engaging programs to our youth and providing families with an important lifeline during the summer.”
Summer Fun includes 16 programs for elementary-aged children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade, four enrichment programs for teenagers, and two specialized enrichment programs. Hours for all programs are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays on June 11 and July 4.
Registration dates vary by location, but some sites will begin scheduling registration appointments as soon as Monday, April 7.
Detailed information about program locations, registration dates, cost, and age groups can be found online at https://www.parks.hawaiicounty.gov/facilities-parks/recreation.
